Waste Heat Recovery

Tube In Tube Type Heat Exchanger

We have manufactured typical and tailer made tube in tube type heat exchanger constructions. In this type of constructions, there are concentric tubes inside which two different fluids are flowing. The hot fluids flow from inner tube and cold fluid from outer tube. Heat flows from hot fluid to cold fluid.
The key parameters in designing of heat exchangers is pressure drop across the heat exchanger in both hot and cold fluid side, temperature difference required, heat transfer area, type of flow arrangement co-current or counter current, flow direction from upward to downward or downward to upward, temp of hot fluid, steam formation tendency above 100 degree C, MOC of pipes to prevent corrosion, erosion if any, chemical and physical properties of both the fluids exchanging heat etc.


Shell and Tube type Heat Exchanger

A shell and tube heat exchanger is a class of heat exchanger designs. It is the most common type of heat exchanger in oil refineries and other large chemical processes, and is suited for higher-pressure applications. As its name implies, this type of heat exchanger consists of a shell (a large pressure vessel) with a bundle of tubes inside it.
One fluid runs through the tubes, and another fluid flows over the tubes (through the shell) to transfer heat between the two fluids. The set of tubes is called a tube bundle, and may be composed of several types of tubes: plain, longitudinally finned, etc.


Air Pre-heater

Air Pre-heater is used to heat air and pass it to the furnace, the preheated air facilitates the burning of poor grade of fuel. Thus, permitting a reduction in excess air that is improving the efficiency.
The purpose of air pre-heater is to recover the heat from boiler flue gas, which increases the thermal efficiency of the boiler by reducing the useful heat lost in the gas.
